Why advertise that people can view catalogues on line when there is no such thing?

I brought 6 white leather dining chairs that the leather has just perished. I phoned the store (Aspley Brisbane) they said because I had had them 2 years they were no longer under warranty. I paid 200.00 each for these chairs you would expect them to fall apart in 2 years.

The catalogue page will not download to my computer.

I was able to get on the site in September and this was very useful.

I would like to commend the staff in the whyalla store. firstly, Angela in the furnishing department who graciously attended to my special needs with regards to bedding earlier this year. NOTHING was too much trouble and assistance was given (in my opinion) beyond the call of duty. A lovely girl indeed.
However, Angela was outdone over the last few days by Simon and Greg in the computer department. In fact, their service surpassed anything I have received before and I’ve been around for nearly seventy years.. Their expertise is phenominal, there public relations are absolutely first class, I honestly don’t know which superlatives to use and which to leave out, if any! However, I was rather dismayed to see that these people are forced to sit on common kitchen or dining chairs instead of correct office chairs. I don’t know what OHS would say about it. Anyway, thankyou Greg and Simon, you are both wonderful. Terry

I don’t think it’s only harvey norman – most large shops do it. The other day I went to toys-r-us to get a toy they advertised, only to find out that they sold it out in the first few hours after oppening the store. It looks like they use catalolgues just to lure people into the store and then rely on people’s impulse buying to buy something else, for full price.
