Friendster.com – Social Networking Pioneer
Friendster is one of the earliest social networking websites, launched long before Facebook or MySpace. The website experienced enormous growth and became especially popular amount the internet users in Asia, with the most users coming from Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, South Korea, Singapore, China, Japan and India. It is no wonder that Friendster has accepted a buyout from Malaysia-based MOL Global in December 2009 in order to solidify its social networking position in these countries.
Friendster.com, which made its debut in 2002 allows members to share videos, photos and messages – similar to what is currently offered by its mighty competitors. Despite the competition, Friendster.com can boast by its 115 million registered users and 61 million unique visitors per month. It is considered to be in the top 200 global websites based on internet traffic.
Friendster has been in the arena of social networking websites with a big boom. Its large network of members and communities has given a lot of people the chance to get in touch with the important individuals in their family. The site grew big in a matter of a few years and had built upon its member registrations. The most amazing factor is that in spite of going through performance issues and other problems, the site managed to come out of the problems by leaps and bounds and it has increased its traffic to a large extent as well.

I have a Friendster account, and I find that it is useful for keeping up with friends and relatives that you are able to see very often. Also, great way to view photos and share memories with them that you might otherwise miss out on. There are sometimes when people may annoy you on the site, but overall it is a fun site to use.
I use friendster.com in the year 2009,there has been reunited with my friends during junior high school (2001-2004) located in another city. we lost touch almost five years. This is truly amazing… one more, I also got a lot of new friends and we share life stories. I’m sorry if my english not good. Thanks..
