Economic Stimulus
The Australian Government has released a number of economic stimulus packages to combat the resession. The latest $42 billion was handed out as investments and cash handouts on 3/02/2009. (Here is the announcement)
The government also announced Educational Tax Refund, – Tax Break for small businesses and Free Insulation for 2.9 million Australian homes.
Small Business Tax Break
The 2009 Australian Federal budget brought some changes that provide small businesses with up to 50% tax deduction on new equipment purchases, includingcomputers, servers and cars.
