What is the deal with that www. crazydomains.com.au that is advertised on TV? How can they charge $12/yr for a .com.au domain – I read somewhere that you can only register a .au domain for 2 years, not one year?? Anyone tried crazydomains yet?

This appears to have been deregulated since 5 years ago when that was the case. There are several domain name resellers that offer shorter and cheaper terms now. I have not personally dealt with crazydomains, but have purchased an .au name for similar money through another vendor without any problems.
Crazy Domains have ads saying they provide domains for a dollar. Yes… 1 dollar. When you get to the site the cheapest is $11.95 – Knowing they are comfortable ‘false advertising’ is enough to put me off doing business with them. Just my opinion.
Nigel – you can get a .info for $1 a MONTH. Total bullshit.
They seem to forget the Trade Practices Act.
